Formed from a single mould of durable polycarbonate, the seat and backrest have a swift curve that offers both comfort and ergonomic support.Bands of coloured plastic in a range of striking tones top each chair, its internal striped texture creating refractions of light.Designed by Philippe Starck, the hollow interior of the chairs frame adds to this ethereal effect while creating elegant lines of transparency.While the frame is made using modern manufacturing processes, the shape of the chair is inspired by the decorative modern forms of art deco as evidenced by the juxtaposition of the square front and curving back legs.
